Skrillex is still mentioned among the few who pioneered EDM in the United States. With his radically different ideas for electronic music, he helped push the genre like never before. Over the course of a decade, he established himself as one of the most celebrated and respected producers in the entire music industry. Most of his work exists on streaming platforms, but what about the tracks that don’t exist?
Without diving into the sea of leaks that various online forum communities have compiled, we set out to find the best Skrillex tracks that don’t exist on DSPs like Spotify or Apple Music.
Our journey took us back to 2009, when he started releasing electronic music through MySpace. This was shortly after leaving his emo band From First To Last due to strained vocal cords and a desire to pursue a solo career. We also found loosies from his (now inactive) label OWSLA, as well as spontaneous uploads to SoundCloud.
Below is a list of our favorite bits that have been discovered in Skrillex’s back catalog. Enjoy!
